How to Renew a Canceled or Expired cPanel License


Overview

This document describes how to renew a canceled or expired cPanel license in the cPanel Store.

Renew a canceled or expired cPanel license

You can renew a canceled or expired cPanel license from the Manage Licenses interface or the Cart interface.

The Manage Licenses interface

Note:

Before renewing a canceled or expired cPanel license, you must log in to your cPanel Store account.

To renew a canceled or expired cPanel license from the Manage Licenses interface, perform the following steps:

  1. Locate the desired license in the table on the Manage Licenses interface.
  2. Under Actions, click the icon ( ) to display the menu.
  3. Select Renew License. A confirmation message will appear that the system added the renewal to the cart.
  4. Navigate to the Cart interface. The cart will display the requested license renewal.
    Note:

    Click Details to display the license’s detailed information.

  5. Click Review and Checkout. The Review & Checkout interface (Cart >> Review & Checkout) will appear.
  6. Select one of the following payment options:
    • Stored credit cards — Pay with a previously used card.
    • Add a New Credit Card — Pay with a new card.
    • PayPal — Pay with a PayPal® account.
  7. Accept the terms and conditions of the EULA.
  8. Click Purchase Now. The purchase will complete, and an invoice will appear.

The Cart interface

Note:

Before renewing a canceled or expired cPanel license, you must log in to your cPanel Store account.

To renew a canceled or expired cPanel license from the Cart interface, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Add a Product. The menu will appear.
  2. Select cPanel Products. The interface will refresh and display the Select a Product menu.
  3. Under Product Type, click the Select a Product menu.
  4. Select the desired license tier. The interface will update the line item.
    Note:

    You cannot downgrade a canceled or expired cPanel license to a license tier below your current account level. The system will check the number of accounts associated with the cPanel license. If too many accounts exist for the selected downgrade, the system will automatically update the cart to the correct license tier.

  5. Enter the IP address of the cPanel license in the IP Address text box. The interface will update the line item with the cPanel license renewal information.

    Click Details to display the license’s detailed information.

  6. Click Review and Checkout. The Review & Checkout interface (Cart >> Review & Checkout) will appear.
  7. Select one of the following payment options:
    • Stored credit cards — Pay with a previously used card.
    • Add a New Credit Card — Pay with a new card.
    • PayPal — Pay with a PayPal® account.
  8. Accept the terms and conditions of the EULA.
  9. Click Purchase Now. The purchase will complete, and an invoice will appear.
