Use this pool, for example, when you assign a static IP address to a new account.<\/p>\n<p>To add multiple IP addresses simultaneously, use any of the following formats:<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th align=\"left\">Format<\/th>\n<th align=\"left\">Example<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">Class C CIDR<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\"><code>192.168.0.128\/25<\/code><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">IP\/Netmask<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\"><code>192.168.0.128\/255.255.255.128<\/code><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\">IP Range<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\"><code>192.168.0.128-255<\/code><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div class=\"callout callout-danger\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Warning:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n        You <strong>must<\/strong> add an IP address through this interface for cPanel &#038; WHM to recognize the IP address.\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"add-a-new-ip-address-or-addresses\">Add a New IP Address (or Addresses)<\/h2>\n<p>To add one or more IP addresses in the <em>Add a New IP Address<\/em> table, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Enter the IP address or addresses in the <em>New IP or IP range to add<\/em> text box.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>If you are in 1:1 NAT Mode, enter the <strong>local IP address<\/strong>, not the <strong>public IP address<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If the <em>New IP and IP range to add value<\/em> uses Class C CIDR format, you <strong>must<\/strong> use a mask range between 24 through 30.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter the subnet mask in the <em>Select a subnet mask for the IP or IPs above to use:<\/em> text box.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n        An incorrect subnet mask may cause networking issues for your server or other servers on your network. If you do not know the correct subnet mask for this IP address or IP address range, ask your hosting or networking provider.\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter any IP addresses to exclude in the IPs and IP ranges to exclude from the range of new IPs text box.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <em>Submit<\/em> to add the IP address or addresses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>When you add an IP address, the system attempts to add an alias of that IP address to the main network interface. This process rebuilds the IP address pool, which resides in the <code>\/etc\/ipaddrpool<\/code> file. The system stores IP addresses within the <code>\/etc\/ips<\/code> file.
