If users visit the parked domain\u2019s website, the primary website appears.<\/p>\n<p>For example, <code>cpanel.com<\/code> is a parked domain that points to <code>http:\/\/www.cpanel.net\/<\/code>. When you access <code>http:\/\/www.cpanel.com<\/code>, the <code>http:\/\/www.cpanel.net<\/code> website appears.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>You <strong>must<\/strong> register a parked domain name before visitors can access it.<\/li>\n<li>If your registered domain\u2019s DNS zone records are incorrect, you may receive the following error: <em>Could not determine the nameserver IP addresses for \u201csubdomain.example.com\u201d. Please make sure that the domain is registered with a valid domain registrar.<\/em> You will also be unable to add the domain. Use\u00a0WHM\u2019s <em>DNS Zone Manager<\/em>\u00a0interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; DNS Functions &gt;&gt; DNS Zone Manager<\/em>) to check your DNS zone records and correct any errors.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"create-a-parked-domain\">Create a parked domain<\/h2>\n<p>To add a parked domain, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the <em>Domain to park<\/em> text box, enter the domain name that you wish to park.<\/li>\n<li>Select the domain that you wish to park on top of from the <em>Domain to park on top of<\/em> menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Park<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>When you create an addon domain, parked domain, subdomain, or main domain, the system will attempt to automatically secure that domain with the best-available existing certificate. If no certificate exists, the system will generation a self-signed certificate to secure the new domain.<\/p>\n<p>If AutoSSL is enabled for the account that owns the new domain, the system will submit a request for an AutoSSL certificate.
