You can suspend both users and individual domains.<\/p>\n<p>When you suspend an account or domain, the system disables their passwords. This feature is useful if a user fails to comply with your terms of service or they fail to pay their bill for service.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"suspended-domains\">Suspended domains<\/h2>\n<p>The table of accounts displays the following columns:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Domain<\/em> \u2014 Displays the suspended domain.<\/li>\n<li><em>User<\/em> \u2014 Displays the cPanel account that owns the domain.<\/li>\n<li><em>Owner<\/em> \u2014 Displays the reseller who owns the account. This column may display root if no reseller accounts exist on the server.<\/li>\n<li><em>Date Suspended<\/em> \u2014 Displays the date and time of the account\u2019s suspension.<\/li>\n<li><em>Reason<\/em> \u2014 Displays the reason for account suspension, if the WHM user who suspended the account entered a reason.<\/li>\n<li><em>Locked<\/em> \u2014 Displays whether a system administrator has locked the suspension. Only the <code>root<\/code> user or <code>root<\/code>-enabled users can unsuspend a locked account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"how-to-suspend-and-unsuspend-accounts\">How to suspend and unsuspend accounts<\/h2>\n<p>Click one of the following options to unsuspend or terminate an account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>Unsuspend<\/em> \u2014 To unsuspend an account, click <em>Unsuspend<\/em>. To keep service proxying, select the <em>Retain Service Proxying<\/em> checkbox. Most users do not need to select this checkbox.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Terminate<\/em> \u2014 To terminate an account, click <em>Terminate<\/em>. For more information, read our <em>Terminate Accounts<\/em> documentation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-danger\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Warning:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>If you terminate an account, the system <strong>permanently<\/strong> removes it.
