{"id":850,"date":"2021-07-23T12:39:33","date_gmt":"2021-07-23T12:39:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/list-accounts\/"},"modified":"2021-07-23T12:39:33","modified_gmt":"2021-07-23T12:39:33","slug":"list-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/list-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"List Accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-md-9\">\n<div class=\"flex-column flex-md-row article-header\">\n<div id=\"versioned-article-header\">\n<p class=\"valid-version-info\"><em>Valid for versions 92 through the latest version<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"version-select-group\" aria-label=\"select versions\">\n<h4>Version:<\/h4>\n<h4>82<\/h4>\n<h4>92<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<hr>\n<h2 id=\"overview\">Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The <em>List Accounts<\/em> interface displays your server\u2019s accounts and allows you to perform certain actions on them.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"account-information\">Account information<\/h2>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>If your hosting provider enables the <em>Create Accounts<\/em> privilege in WHM\u2019s <em>Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Resellers &gt;&gt; Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges<\/em>), this interface will display a link to WHM\u2019s <em>Create a New Account<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Account Functions &gt;&gt; Create a New Account<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The list of accounts displays detailed information about each account on your server, and allows you to perform certain actions on each account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Click the plus icon (<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/plusicon.png\" alt=\"Plus\" title=\"plusicon\">) to view the available actions for the associated account. For more information, read the <em>Actions<\/em> section below.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click a domain name in the <em>Domain<\/em> column to navigate to that site.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the cPanel logo (<img style=\"width:20px\" src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/cpanelicon.png\" title=\"cpanelicon\">) in the <em>cPanel<\/em> column to log in to the cPanel interface for that account with the <code>root<\/code> or reseller password.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>If you disabled <code>root<\/code> or reseller logins to cPanel user accounts, this icon does not display. You can enable this feature in the <em>System<\/em> section of WHM\u2019s <em>Tweak Settings<\/em> interface (<em>WHM<\/em> &gt;&gt; <em>Home<\/em> &gt;&gt; <em>Server Configuration<\/em> &gt;&gt; <em>Tweak Settings<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>This feature uses the <em>Internal Session Tool<\/em> and <em>Single Sign On<\/em> system to generate a temporary user. For more information, read our Guide to API Authentication documentation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the IP address in the <em>IP Address<\/em> column to view the contents of the user\u2019s home directory in a new browser tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the email address in the <em>Contact Email<\/em> column to send an email to the account\u2019s owner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the account\u2019s assigned package (for example, <em>default<\/em>) in the <em>Package<\/em> column to open the <em>Edit a Package<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Packages &gt;&gt; Edit a Package<\/em>).<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>A red warning icon (<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/warningicon.png\" alt=\"Warn\" title=\"warningicon\">) and <em>Unknown<\/em> appear in the <em>Package<\/em> column if the account does <strong>not<\/strong> have an assigned package.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"actions\">Actions<\/h2>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>When you use any of these actions to navigate to another WHM interface, WHM automatically selects the correct account.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>When you expand the information for an account, you can perform the following actions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>Change Password<\/em> \u2014 To change an account\u2019s password, enter the desired password, select the desired options, and click <em>Change<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Select the <em>Synchronize MySQL password with account password<\/em> checkbox if you want to use the same password for the user\u2019s MySQL\u00ae account.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>This option is <strong>only<\/strong> available for users who possess an installed <code>.my.cnf<\/code> file.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select the <em>Enable Digest Authentication<\/em> checkbox to enable Digest Authentication support.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Change Contact Email<\/em> \u2014 To change the contact email address for the account, enter a new address in the text box and click <em>Change<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>The Reset Password feature uses this email address to verify the account user\u2019s identity. If you do <strong>not<\/strong> set the contact email address, the user <strong>cannot<\/strong> use the Reset Password feature.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Suspend Account<\/em> \u2013 To suspend an account, enter a reason in the text box and click <em>Suspend<\/em>. To ensure that resellers cannot unsuspend the account, select the <em>Prevent resellers from unsuspending checkbox<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Account Suspended<\/em> \u2014 Suspended accounts appear with the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Reason<\/em> \u2014 Displays the reason for account suspension, if the WHM user who suspended the account entered a reason.<\/li>\n<li><em>Suspended<\/em> \u2014 The date and time of the suspension.<\/li>\n<li><em>Suspension Locked<\/em> \u2014 Displays whether a system administrator has locked the suspension. Only the <code>root<\/code> user or users with <code>root<\/code>-privileges can unsuspend a locked account.<\/li>\n<li><em>Unsuspend<\/em> \u2014 To unsuspend an account, click <em>Unsuspend<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><em>Retain Service Proxying<\/em> \u2014 To keep service proxying, select the <em>Retain Service Proxying<\/em> checkbox. Most users do not need to select this checkbox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Change IP Address<\/em> \u2014 Click <em>Change IP Address<\/em> to navigate to WHM\u2019s <em>Change a Site\u2019s IP Address<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; IP Functions &gt;&gt; Change a Site\u2019s IP Address<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Change Disk Partition<\/em> \u2014 Click <em>Change Disk Partition<\/em> to navigate to WHM\u2019s <em>Rearrange an Account<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Account Functions &gt;&gt; Rearrange an Account<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Change Quota<\/em> \u2014 Click <em>Change Quota<\/em> to navigate to WHM\u2019s <em>Quota Modification<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Account Functions &gt;&gt; Quota Modification<\/em>).<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>When you change a quota, we recommend that you first examine the contents of the account to ensure that the account does not already exceed the quota. If this is the case, request that the owner of the account remove files to comply with the new disk quota.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Change Plan<\/em> \u2014 Click <em>Change Plan<\/em> to navigate to WHM\u2019s <em>Upgrade\/Downgrade an Account<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Account Functions &gt;&gt; Upgrade\/Downgrade an Account<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Modify Account<\/em> \u2014 Click <em>Modify Account<\/em> to navigate to WHM\u2019s <em>Modify an Account<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Account Functions &gt;&gt; Modify an Account<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"download-records\">Download records<\/h2>\n<p>When you click <em>Download these records to a CSV file<\/em>, WHM opens a new browser tab that displays the information from the <em>List Accounts<\/em> table as a comma-separated list. You can then copy and paste this information into a text document. If you wish to use the file in Microsoft Excel\u00ae or another spreadsheet program, save it as a <code>.csv<\/code> file.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>This <code>.csv<\/code> file lists all accounts, up to the first 999,999,999 accounts.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valid for versions 92 through the latest version Version: 82 92 Overview The List Accounts interface displays your server\u2019s accounts and allows you to perform certain actions on them.
