If you terminate an account, the system will completely remove it from your server.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-danger\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Warning:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>You <strong>cannot<\/strong> undo account termination. When you terminate an account, the system permanently deletes that account\u2019s data from the server.<\/li>\n<li>You <strong>must<\/strong> remove the account\u2019s backups manually or move the backups to another server. This action prevents an account collision if you add a new account with a previous account user\u2019s username.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"terminate-accounts\">Terminate accounts<\/h2>\n<p>The interface provides a table that lists all of the server\u2019s accounts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the <em>Search<\/em> text box and the navigation controls to search for a particular account or accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Click a column heading to sort the table by that column.<\/li>\n<li>To display only suspended accounts, select the <em>Show only suspended accounts<\/em> checkbox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To terminate an individual account, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To keep a domain\u2019s DNS zone on your server, select the associated checkbox in the <em>Keep DNS Zone<\/em> column.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Remove<\/em> in the associated checkbox in that account\u2019s row.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Yes, delete this account<\/em> to confirm that you wish to remove the account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To terminate multiple accounts from your server, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Select the checkboxes that correspond to the accounts that you wish to remove.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To keep a domain\u2019s DNS zone on your server, select the associated checkbox in the <em>Keep DNS Zone<\/em> column.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <em>Remove selected accounts<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <em>Yes, delete these accounts<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"keep-the-dns-zones\">Keep the DNS zones<\/h2>\n<p>When you terminate an account, you can keep the domain\u2019s zone file in the DNS server. This is useful, for example, if you move an account to a different server that is a part of the same DNS cluster as the previous server, and you want to delete the account information from the original server.
