Overview<\/h2>\n

This interface allows you to change an account\u2019s IP address. You can use this interface, for example, to assign a unique IP address to a site in order to host an SSL-secured website.<\/p>\n

  • This interface requires<\/strong> root<\/code>-level permissions on the server. To grant these permissions to a reseller account, use WHM\u2019s Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges<\/em> interface (WHM >> Home >> Resellers >> Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges<\/em>).<\/li>\n
  • To change one of your domains\u2019 IP addresses, you must<\/strong> first obtain the IP address from your data center and add it in WHM\u2019s Add a New IP Address<\/em> interface (WHM >> Home >> IP Functions >> Add a New IP Address<\/em>).<\/li>\n
  • If you run a data center, obtain your IP addresses from your Regional Internet Registry (RIR). For more information, read the Wikipedia article on Regional Internet Registries.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Change the IP address<\/h2>\n

    To change a site\u2019s IP address, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n

      Select the account or user from the Account Selection<\/em> menu.<\/p>\n
