Tap <em>Continue<\/em> to complete the set up process.<\/li>\n<li>Do <strong>not<\/strong> use your web browser to navigate to the URLs that cPanel\u2019s <em>Calendars and Contacts<\/em> interface displays. They do not contain human-readable information.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This article describes how to set up cPanel calendars and contacts on Apple\u00ae desktop, mobile device operating systems, and in Roundcube 1.4 using CalDAV and CardDAV.<\/p>\n<p>On Android\u2122 devices we recommend using Exchange ActiveSync to set up calendars, contacts, and email. For more information, read our How to Sync Calendars, Contacts, and Email on Android Devices documentation.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"configuration-information\">Configuration information<\/h2>\n<p>You can find your calendar (CalDAV) and contacts (CardDAV) setup information in cPanel\u2019s <em>Calendars and Contacts<\/em> interface (<em>cPanel &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Email &gt;&gt; Calendars and Contacts<\/em>). For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Server<\/strong> \u2014 <code>example.com:2080<\/code><\/li>\n<li><strong>User Name<\/strong> \u2014 <code>example<\/code> or <code>user@example.com<\/code><\/li>\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong> \u2014 <code>123456luggage<\/code><\/li>\n<li><strong>Description<\/strong> \u2014 <code>My Calendars<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>cPanel\u2019s <em>Calendars and Contacts<\/em> feature does <strong>not<\/strong> function with the iOS\u00ae Reminder application if your server uses a self-signed SSL certificate, and does <strong>not<\/strong> support Horde\u2019s Free\/Busy system for third-party applications.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"calendar-delegation\">Calendar delegation<\/h2>\n<p>You can manage calendar delegations through cPanel\u2019s <em>Calendar Delegation<\/em> interface (<em>cPanel &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Email &gt;&gt; Calendar Delegation<\/em>). This feature is useful for the following reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create an account for a resource (for example, a conference room) and allow others to reserve it.<\/li>\n<li>Allow a manager to view their subordinates\u2019 calendars.<\/li>\n<li>Allow an assistant to manage a manager\u2019s calendar for them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Refer to your mail application\u2019s documentation for instructions on how calendar delegates can view the delegated calendar. Then, click <em>Create<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure>\n    <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/cnc-carddav-caldav.png\" width=\"500\" title=\"cnc-carddav-caldav\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<h4 id=\"enter-your-account-information-1\">Enter your account information<\/h4>\n<p>To complete the setup of your CalDAV or CardDAV account, use one of the following methods:<\/p>\n<h5 id=\"automatic\">Automatic<\/h5>\n<p>To automatically complete the setup of your account, enter your information in the appropriate text boxes. Click <em>Sign In<\/em> to save your changes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>For calendar accounts (CalDAV), you <strong>must<\/strong> select <em>Automatic<\/em> from the <em>Account Type<\/em> menu.<\/li>\n<li>To use the <em>Automatic<\/em> account type, your hosting provider <strong>must<\/strong> enable the <em>Thunderbird and Outlook autodiscover and autoconfig support (enables service subdomain and SRV record creation)<\/em> setting in the <em>Domains<\/em> section of WHM\u2019s Tweak Settings interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Server Configuration &gt;&gt; Tweak Settings<\/em>).<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h5 id=\"manual\">Manual<\/h5>\n<p>To complete the setup of your account manually, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the <em>Account Type<\/em> menu, select <em>Manual<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the account information in the text boxes.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Sign In<\/em> to save your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5 id=\"advanced\">Advanced<\/h5>\n<p>To complete setup of your account using the <em>Advanced<\/em> option, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the <em>Account Type<\/em> menu, select <em>Advanced<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the account information in the text boxes.\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>You can locate the CardDAV and CalDAV <em>Server Path<\/em> information in Webmail\u2019s <em>Configure Calendar and Contacts Client<\/em> interface. Use the URL provided in the <em>Secure SSL\/TLS URLs<\/em> table\u2019s <em>Address Book<\/em> and <em>Calendar<\/em> rows, respectively.<\/li>\n<li>The <em>Server Path<\/em> text box only requires the information provided <strong>after<\/strong> the server\u2019s port address. For example, to add a CalDAV <em>Server Path<\/em>, use the <code>\/calendars\/username\/calendar:RANDOMUID<\/code> format, where <code>username<\/code> is the account name, and <code>calendar:RANDOMUID<\/code> is the provided UID.<br \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Sign In<\/em> to save your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"other-operating-systems\">Other operating systems<\/h3>\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>We have only tested these steps on Apple\u00ae-distributed products. These clients natively support CalDAV and CardDAV. If you use other calendar or contacts applications that support these protocols, you <strong>might<\/strong> be able to access your calendars and contacts from those applications. Your application <strong>must<\/strong> support the CalDAV and CardDAV protocols.<\/li>\n<li>On Android devices we recommend using Exchange ActiveSync to set up calendars, contacts, and email. For example: <code>12345password<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"callout callout-success\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Remember:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>You can access this information in cPanel\u2019s <em>Calendars and Contacts<\/em> interface (<em>cPanel &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Email &gt;&gt; Calendars and Contacts<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"roundcube-1-4-for-desktop\">Roundcube 1.4 for desktop<\/h3>\n<p>Roundcube\u2019s database stores the internal calendar\u2019s data. You can also add a CalDAV calendar to Roundcube. This version of Roundcube includes a mobile-responsive theme. You can find instructions to set up a Horde calendar in Roundcube on mobile in the Roundcube 1.4 for mobile devices section of this document.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"access-your-calendar-application-s-configuration-interface\">Access your calendar application\u2019s configuration interface<\/h4>\n<p>Perform the necessary steps to access the calendars (CalDav) and contacts (CardDav) account configuration interface for your calendar application. These steps vary between calendar applications. For more information, read your calendar application\u2019s documentation.<\/p>\n<p>To connect the Horde calendar to Roundcube, perform the following steps to obtain Horde\u2019s CalDAV URL:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the <em>Calendars and Contacts<\/em> interface (<em>cPanel &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Email &gt;&gt; Calendars and Contacts<\/em>), scroll to the <em>Direct URLs for Calendars and Contacts<\/em> section.<\/li>\n<li>Highlight and copy the URL for the <em>Calendar<\/em> type that you wish to use from the list.\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>We recommend that you use URLs from the <em>Secure SSL\/TLS URLs<\/em> list.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Horde CalDAV URL should resemble one of the examples below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Non-Autodiscovery cPanel account user \u2014 <code>https:\/\/example.com:2080\/rpc\/calendars\/example\/calendar:5aa73f09-6871-ed1c-ff63-1b93c5d1238b<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Non-Autodiscovery webmail user \u2014 <code>https:\/\/example.com:2080\/rpc\/calendars\/user@example.com\/calendar:5aa73f09-6871-ed1c-ff63-1b93c5d1238b<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"log-in-to-webmail-and-then-to-roundcube\">Log in to Webmail and then to Roundcube<\/h4>\n<p>To log in to Webmail, you can use either of the following methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Navigate to <code>https:\/\/example.com:2096<\/code> in your browser. In this example, replace <code>example.com<\/code> with your email address\u2019s domain. For more information, read our How to Log in to Your Server or Account documentation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Navigate to cPanel\u2019s <em>Email Accounts<\/em> interface (<em>cPanel &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Email &gt;&gt; Email Accounts<\/em>). Then, locate the email account in the table and click <em>Check Email<\/em>. The <em>Webmail<\/em> interface will open in a new browser tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After you first log in, the Webmail interface will appear.<\/p>\n<p>cPanel &#038; WHM ships with the Roundcube and Horde webmail clients. Roundcube is cPanel &#038; WHM\u2019s default webmail client.<\/p>\n<p>If Roundcube is not your current webmail client, click Roundcube\u2019s logo or text description. You will see it in the <em>Open your inbox<\/em> section of the Webmail interface.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"navigate-to-the-roundcube-calendar-interface\">Navigate to the Roundcube Calendar interface<\/h4>\n<p>In the Roundcube interface, click <em>Calendar<\/em> on the left menu. The calendar interface will appear.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-calendar-button.png\" width=\"900\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-calendar-button\"><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"add-the-horde-caldav-calendar-to-roundcube\">Add the Horde CalDAV calendar to Roundcube<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In the Roundcube <em>Calendar<\/em> interface, navigate to <em>Calendars<\/em> at the top of the interface. Click the menu ( <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-calendar-menu.png\" width=\"20\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-calendar-menu\"> ) icon. A menu will appear.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-calendar-add-button.png\" width=\"20\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-calendar-add-button\"> <em>Add Calendar<\/em> from the menu. The <em>Create new calendar<\/em> interface will appear.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-calendar-add.png\" width=\"900\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-calendar-add\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>In the <em>Properties<\/em> section, enter a calendar name in the <em>Name<\/em> text box.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Paste the calendar URL that you copied in step 1 in the <em>CalDAV URL<\/em> text box.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Adjust the calendar color and whether to show reminders in the <em>Settings<\/em> section.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Under <em>Authentication<\/em>, enter the username and password of your CalDAV digest.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-calendar-properties.png\" width=\"900\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-calendar-properties\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click <em>Save<\/em>. The Roundcube Calendar interface will automatically upload the calendar.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>You will see calendar events for the current week.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To add an event to the calendar, double click anywhere on the calendar. A <em>New event<\/em> interface will appear.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"roundcube-1-4-for-mobile-devices\">Roundcube 1.4 for mobile devices<\/h3>\n<p>To add a Horde calendar to Roundcube 1.4 for mobile devices, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"access-your-calendar-application-s-configuration-interface-1\">Access your calendar application\u2019s configuration interface<\/h4>\n<p>Perform the necessary steps to access the calendars (CalDav) and contacts (CardDav) account configuration interface for your calendar application. For more information, read your calendar application\u2019s documentation.<\/p>\n<p>To connect the Horde calendar to Roundcube, perform the following steps to obtain Horde\u2019s CalDAV URL:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In cPanel\u2019s <em>Calendars and Contacts<\/em> interface (<em>cPanel &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Email &gt;&gt; Calendars and Contacts<\/em>), scroll to the <em>Direct URLs for Calendars and Contacts<\/em> section.<\/li>\n<li>Highlight and copy the URL for the <em>Calendar<\/em> type that you wish to use from the list.\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>We recommend that you use URLs from the <em>Secure SSL\/TLS URLs<\/em> list.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Horde CalDAV URL should resemble one of the examples below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Non-Autodiscovery cPanel account user \u2014 <code>https:\/\/example.com:2080\/rpc\/calendars\/example\/calendar:5aa73f09-6871-ed1c-ff63-1b93c5d1238b<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Non-Autodiscovery webmail user \u2014 <code>https:\/\/example.com:2080\/rpc\/calendars\/user@example.com\/calendar:5aa73f09-6871-ed1c-ff63-1b93c5d1238b<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"log-in-to-webmail-and-then-to-roundcube-1\">Log in to Webmail and then to Roundcube<\/h4>\n<p>To log in to Webmail, you can use either of the following methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Navigate to <code>https:\/\/example.com:2096<\/code> in your mobile browser. In this example, replace <code>example.com<\/code> with your email address\u2019s domain. For more information, read our How to Log in to Your Server or Account documentation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Navigate to cPanel\u2019s <em>Email Accounts<\/em> interface (<em>cPanel &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Email &gt;&gt; Email Accounts<\/em>). Then, locate the email account in the table and click <em>Check Email<\/em>. The <em>Webmail<\/em> interface will open in a new browser tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After you first log in, the Webmail interface will appear. cPanel &#038; WHM ships with the Roundcube and Horde webmail clients. Roundcube is cPanel &#038; WHM\u2019s default webmail client.<\/p>\n<p>If Roundcube is not your current webmail client, click Roundcube\u2019s logo or text description. You will see it in the <em>Open your inbox<\/em> section of the Webmail interface.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"navigate-to-the-roundcube-calendar-interface-1\">Navigate to the Roundcube Calendar interface<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>At the top of the Roundcube interface, click the menu (<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-mobile-hamburger-menu.png\" width=\"20\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-mobile-hamburger-menu\">) icon to open the main menu.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-mobile-inbox-menu.png\" width=\"300\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-mobile-inbox-menu\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <em>Calendar<\/em>. Click the menu ( <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-calendar-menu.png\" width=\"20\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-calendar-menu\"> ) icon. A menu will appear.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Select <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/roundcube-1-4-calendar-add-button.png\" width=\"20\" title=\"roundcube-1-4-calendar-add-button\"> <em>Add Calendar<\/em> from the menu.
