You can use this account to create backup storage for the Amazon S3\u2122 destination or to launch instances of the cPanel &#038; WHM AMI.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For more information about backups to an Amazon S3 destination, read our Backup Configuration documentation.<\/li>\n<li>For more information about cPanel &#038; WHM Amazon Machine Image (AMI) instances, read our Launch an AWS AMI Instance documentation.<\/li>\n<li>For video tutorials about this process, view the cPanel and Amazon AWS playlist on our YouTube channel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"create-an-aws-account\">Create an AWS account<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"navigate-to-aws\">Navigate to AWS<\/h3>\n<figure>\n    <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/aws-website.png\" width=\"400\" title=\"aws-website\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Navigate to the Amazon Web Services website.<\/p>\n<p>Then, click <em>Create an AWS Account<\/em> in the top-right corner. The <em>Create an AWS Account<\/em> page will appear.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>If you previously started, but did not finish, the account creation process, the interface will display <em>Complete Sign Up<\/em> instead. Click <em>Complete Sign Up<\/em> to proceed to your most-recent step in the creation process.<\/li>\n<li>If you have already created an AWS account, the interface will display <em>Sign in to the Console<\/em> instead. Click <em>Sign in to the Console<\/em> and then proceed to your desired task.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"enter-account-information\">Enter account information<\/h3>\n<figure>\n    <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/aws-account.png\" width=\"400\" title=\"aws-account\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Enter your desired email address, enter and confirm your desired password, and then enter an account name.<\/p>\n<p>Then, click <em>Continue<\/em>. The <em>Contact Information<\/em> page will appear.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"enter-contact-information\">Enter contact information<\/h3>\n<figure>\n    <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/aws-contact.png\" width=\"400\" title=\"aws-contact\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p>First, select whether you wish to create a personal or business account. These account types provide identical functionality.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you select <em>Professional<\/em>, the system requires you to enter a company name in the <em>Company name<\/em> text box.<\/li>\n<li>If you select <em>Personal<\/em>, the system removes that text box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Then, enter your contact information in the available text boxes, select the <em>AWS Customer Agreement<\/em>, and click <em>Create Account and Continue<\/em>. The <em>Payment Information<\/em> page will appear.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"enter-payment-information\">Enter payment information<\/h3>\n<figure>\n    <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/aws-payment.png\" width=\"400\" title=\"aws-payment\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Enter your credit or debit card information in the available text boxes. Then, click <em>Secure Submit<\/em>. The <em>Phone Verification<\/em> page will appear.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Amazon <strong>requires<\/strong> a credit or debit card on file before you can finish the account creation process.<\/li>\n<li>To view additional information about AWS billing and payments, click <em>frequently asked questions<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>For more information about AWS billing, read Amazon\u2019s AWS Pricing documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"verify-your-identity\">Verify your identity<\/h3>\n<figure>\n    <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/aws-verify.png\" width=\"400\" title=\"aws-verify\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Amazon <strong>must<\/strong> verify your identity before you finish account creation. This verification prevents fraudulent accounts.<\/p>\n<p>To verify your identity, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enter your telephone information in the <em>Country\/Region code<\/em>, <em>Phone number<\/em>, and <em>Ext<\/em> text boxes.<\/li>\n<li>In the <em>Security Check<\/em> text box, enter the displayed characters.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Call Me Now<\/em>. The <em>Call in progress\u2026<\/em> section will appear, and you will immediately receive an automated phonecall from Amazon.<\/li>\n<li>On your phone\u2019s keypad, enter the four-digit pin number that the page displays. A confirmation message will appear.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Continue<\/em>. The <em>Select a Support Plan<\/em> interface will appear.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"select-a-support-plan-and-finish-account-creation\">Select a support plan and finish account creation<\/h3>\n<figure>\n    <img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/aws-support.png\" width=\"400\" title=\"aws-support\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The support plan that you choose determines the speed of Technical Support responses, billing and account support, and other advanced services.<\/p>\n<p>Click the desired support plan for your account.
