Overview<\/h2>\n

cPanel & WHM ships with a large collection of third-party software that performs a wide variety of functions. A large number of third parties distribute their software under various open-source license agreements. cPanel, L.L.C. includes copies of all applicable licenses on your server, and ensures that source RPMs (SRPMs) are publicly available.<\/p>\n

License information<\/h2>\n

You can find copies of all of the license agreements that apply to cPanel, L.L.C.\u2019s third-party software in the \/usr\/local\/cpanel\/3rdparty\/share\/<\/code> directory on your server. For example, the \/usr\/local\/cpanel\/3rdparty\/share\/common-licenses\/LGPL-2<\/code> file is a copy of the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.<\/p>\n

Find license information<\/h3>\n

To determine which license a third-party application uses, check the \/usr\/local\/cpanel\/3rdparty\/share\/name\/copyright<\/code> file, where name<\/code> represents the template or RPM name.<\/p>\n

To view information about any of the third-party software that cPanel, L.L.C. ships as an RPM, you can also run the rpm -q cpanel-rpm-version.version.arch --info<\/code> command.<\/p>\n

    Replace cpanel-rpm-version.version.arch<\/code> with the RPM for which you wish to view information. For example:<\/p>\n

    Some third-party RPMs distribute under multiple licenses. Because of this, you may see multiple License<\/code> entries.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
    Find an SRPM<\/h3>\n
    To find the SRPM for a specific third-party RPM, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n

      Navigate to our RPM update server.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
    2. \n
      Navigate to the directory for the version of cPanel & WHM for which we shipped the RPM.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
    3. \n
      Navigate to the src\/<\/code> directory. The system lists all SRPMs as .src.cpm<\/code> files.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      For example, you can find Perl\u2019s SRPM at http:\/\/httpupdate.cpanel.net\/RPM\/11.46\/src\/<\/code> as the cpanel-perl-514.5.14.4-4.cp1146.src.rpm<\/code> file.<\/p>\n
