We <strong>removed<\/strong> the <em>Old-Style Spam System<\/em> setting and its functionality in cPanel &#038; WHM version 54.<\/li>\n<li>Because these steps only apply to unsupported versions of cPanel &#038; WHM, cPanel Technical Support can\u2019t help you configure these settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Apache SpamAssassin\u2122 <em>Report_Safe<\/em> setting allows you to modify how Apache SpamAssassin alerts email recipients that an email failed its spam tests. You can configure this setting in the <code>\/etc\/mail\/spamassassin\/local.cf<\/code> global configuration file.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>You <strong>must<\/strong> perform both of the following steps to properly configure the <em>Report_Safe<\/em> setting.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"configure-the-report-safe-setting\">Configure the Report Safe setting<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"enable-the-old-style-spam-system-setting\">Enable the Old-Style Spam System setting.<\/h3>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>We <strong>removed<\/strong> the <em>Old-Style Spam System<\/em> setting in cPanel &#038; WHM version 54. In cPanel &#038; WHM version 11.52 and earlier, Exim <strong>cannot<\/strong> override any changes to the <code>\/etc\/mail\/spamassassin\/local.cf<\/code> file when you enable this setting.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>To enable this setting, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to WHM as the <code>root<\/code> user.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to WHM\u2019s <em>Exim Configuration Manager<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; Service Configuration &gt;&gt; Exim Configuration Manager<\/em>) and select the <em>Apache SpamAssassin\u2122 Options<\/em> tab.<\/li>\n<li>For the <em>Old-Style Spam System<\/em> setting, select <em>On<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>Save<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"edit-the-global-apache-spamassassin-configuration-file\">Edit the global Apache SpamAssassin configuration file.<\/h3>\n<p>Log in to your server via SSH as the <code>root<\/code> user and modify the <code>Report_Safe<\/code> value in the <code>\/etc\/mail\/spamassassin\/local.cf<\/code> file to use one of the following values:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><code>0<\/code> \u2014 Show the SPAM rules in the email header and leave the message body intact.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><code>1<\/code> \u2014 Add the following attachments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A document that details the spam rule offense.<\/li>\n<li>The suspected spam email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><code>2<\/code> \u2014 Cause the body of the email to include the spam rule offense text, and <strong>add<\/strong> the following attachments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A document that details the spam rule offense.<\/li>\n<li>The suspected spam email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview Warning: This document is only valid for cPanel &#038; WHM version 11.52 and earlier.
