You can then use this and other servers to create a DNS cluster. It is the simplest version of cPanel &#038; WHM and only replicates DNS zones to your other servers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To install cPanel DNSOnly, follow the instructions in our cPanel DNSOnly Installation documentation.<\/li>\n<li>For more information about configuring a DNS cluster, read our Guide to DNS Cluster Configurations documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"cpanel-dnsonly-interfaces\">cPanel DNSOnly interfaces<\/h3>\n<p>You can access the following interfaces from the cPanel DNSOnly <em>Home<\/em> interface:<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"server-configuration\">Server Configuration<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Basic WebHost Manager Setup<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to change basic WHM settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"support\">Support<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>Create Support Ticket<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to create a cPanel support ticket.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Grant cPanel Support Access<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to grant cPanel support access to your server.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"security-center\">Security Center<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>cPHulk Brute Force Protection<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to configure cPHulk. The cPHulk service provides protection for your server against brute force attacks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Host Access Control<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to deny access to services by IP address.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Manage root\u2019s SSH Keys<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to manage your server\u2019s SSH keys and add or import new SSH keys to your server.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>SSH Password Authorization Tweak<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to disable the use of passwords for SSH authentication.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"server-contacts\">Server Contacts<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>Contact Manager<\/em> \u2014 This interface defines how cPanel &#038; WHM sends alert notifications for server and account events.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Edit System Mail Preferences<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to define how your server handles mail for the following system mail addresses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>root<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>nobody<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>cpanel<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"service-configuration\">Service Configuration<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>Manage Service SSL Certificates<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to manage the SSL certificates for the services that exist on your server.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Nameserver Selection<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to select BIND or PowerDNS as your nameserver software or to disable the nameserver.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-danger\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Warning:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>We recommend that you do <strong>not<\/strong> start your nameservers unless you plan to use them.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Service Manager<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to select which daemons to enable and which of the enabled daemons to monitor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"clusters\">Clusters<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>DNS Cluster<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to configure a DNS cluster. The <em>DNS Cluster<\/em> feature allows visitors to reach websites on your server more quickly after the web server comes back online.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Remote Access Key<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to generate a remote access key. Use the <em>Remote Access Key<\/em> feature for automatic account creation scripts, external billing software, and to allow servers in your DNS cluster to exchange records.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"dns-functions\">DNS Functions<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Synchronize DNS Records<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to reconcile differences in zone files between servers in a DNS cluster. Use this interface if some servers in your DNS cluster give outdated responses to DNS queries. This interface includes features to compare zone files among servers, recognize the most up-to-date zone files, and update the servers in the DNS cluster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"development\">Development<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Manage API Tokens<\/em> \u2014 This interface allows you to create, list, and revoke API tokens.
