    The Reset Password feature for Subaccounts requires cPanel & WHM version 56 or later.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    To use this feature, you must<\/strong> enable the Reset Password for Subaccounts<\/em> option in the System<\/em> section of WHM\u2019s Tweak Settings<\/em> interface (WHM >> Home >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings<\/em>). If you cannot<\/strong> access the WHM interface, contact your hosting provider for assistance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    To use this feature, you must<\/strong> enter an email address in the Contact Email Address<\/em> text box in cPanel\u2019s User Manager<\/em> interface (cPanel >> Home >> Preferences >> User Manager<\/em>). If you cannot<\/strong> remember your password, did not set the Contact Email Address<\/em> setting, and cannot log in to the cPanel interface, contact your hosting provider for assistance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    If you do not<\/strong> specify a contact email address, the system displays a fake email address when you attempt to reset your password. This helps protect users\u2019 credentials on your account. This email address appears as a hint in the Contact Email Address<\/em> text box on the cPanel Login<\/em> interface. If you wish to reset your password and did not<\/strong> set your contact email address, contact your hosting provider for assistance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    cPanel & WHM allows you to to reset your Subaccount password. The password reset process sends a security code to the contact email address in cPanel\u2019s User Manager<\/em> interface (cPanel >> Home >> Preferences >> User Manager<\/em>).<\/p>\n

    Reset your Subaccount password<\/h2>\n

    To reset your Subaccount password, perform the following steps:<\/p>\n

      Navigate to the following location in your browser, where example.com<\/code> represents your domain name: <\/p>\n

      https:\/\/<\/span>example.<\/span>com:2083\/<\/span><\/code><\/pre>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

      Click Reset Password<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
    3. \n
      Enter your Subaccount username in the Username<\/em> text box and click Reset Password<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
    4. \n
      Enter your contact email address in the Contact Email Address text box and click Send Security Code. <\/p>\n

        To resend the security code, click Send Security Code Again<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
