Changes that you make to the default configuration may render your server nonfunctional. Exercise caution when you edit this file.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"initial-settings\">Initial settings<\/h2>\n<p>cPanel &#038; WHM runs the <code>\/usr\/local\/cpanel\/scripts\/gensysinfo<\/code> script as part of nightly maintenance to automatically generate the <code>sysinfo.config<\/code> file. The system will <strong>not<\/strong> update the file if it is less than a day old.<\/p>\n<p>If the <code>sysinfo.config<\/code> file does not exist or becomes corrupt, log in to the server via SSH as the <code>root<\/code> user and run the <code>\/usr\/local\/cpanel\/scripts\/gensysinfo<\/code> script to generate a new file.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"keys-and-default-settings\">Keys and default settings<\/h2>\n<p>The following table lists the keys that the system stores in the <code>\/var\/cpanel\/sysinfo.config<\/code> file:<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>Key<\/th>\n<th>Description<\/th>\n<th>Possible values<\/th>\n<th>Example<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><code>ises<\/code><\/td>\n<td>Whether the OS distribution is an Enterprise system.
