To create and install a new SSL certificate, use WHM\u2019s <em>Generate an SSL Certificate and Signing Request<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; SSL\/TLS &gt;&gt; Generate an SSL Certificate and Signing Request<\/em>) and WHM\u2019s <em>Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain<\/em> interface (<em>WHM &gt;&gt; Home &gt;&gt; SSL\/TLS &gt;&gt; Install a SSL Certificate on a Domain<\/em>).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"installed-ssl-hosts\">Installed SSL Hosts<\/h2>\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>When you disable <code>httpd<\/code> services, the system disables the <em>IP Address<\/em>, <em>IP Address Type<\/em>, <em>Is Primary Website on IP Address?<\/em>, and <em>Is SNI Required?<\/em> columns.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Installed SSL Hosts table displays the virtual web hosts with installed SSL certificates as well as each domain\u2019s information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><em>Expires<\/em> \u2014 The certificate\u2019s expiration date.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-info\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Note:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>Expired certificates display a warning (<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/warningicon-1.png\" alt=\"Warning\" title=\"warningicon-1\">) icon.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Key Type<\/em> \u2014 The key\u2019s algorithm and strength. For example, if the key\u2019s algorithm is RSA, this column displays the key\u2019s modulus length.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Actions<\/em> \u2014 Select one of the following actions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Delete<\/em> \u2014 Click this link to delete the certificate.<\/li>\n<li><em>Make Primary<\/em> \u2014 Click this link to make the website the main domain on the shared IP address.\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>When you disable <code>httpd<\/code> services, this option is <strong>unavailable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Domains<\/em> \u2014 The domain or domains that use the certificate. To verify that an SSL certificate secures a particular domain, click the domain name. Each domain or subdomain displays either a red or green lock icon:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>(<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/managesslhostsredlock.png\" alt=\"Red Lock\" title=\"managesslhostsredlock\">) \u2014 Indicates that the SSL certificate does <strong>not<\/strong> secure this domain.<\/li>\n<li>(<img src=\"https:\/\/ssdsunucum.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/managesslhostsgreenlock.png\" alt=\"Green Lock\" title=\"managesslhostsgreenlock\">) \u2014 Indicates that the SSL certificate secures this domain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>IP Address<\/em> \u2014 The IP address of the SSL virtual host.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>IP Address Type<\/em> \u2014 The type of IP address, either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>dedicated<\/code> \u2014 Only one user is assigned to this IP address.<\/li>\n<li><code>shared<\/code> \u2014 Multiple users are assigned to this IP address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Is Primary Website on IP Address?<\/em> \u2014 Whether the website is the IP address\u2019s designated primary website for HTTPS.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Is SNI Required?<\/em> \u2014 Whether validated access to the SSL website requires Server Name Indication (SNI). Most SSL websites that are <strong>not<\/strong> primary websites on an IP address <strong>require<\/strong> SNI.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout callout-warning\">\n<div class=\"callout-heading\">Important:<\/div>\n<div class=\"callout-content\">\n<p>The system does <strong>not<\/strong> update SNI for accounts without a corresponding email address.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Document Root<\/em> \u2014 The directory that contains the site\u2019s content.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Owner<\/em> \u2014 The cPanel account that owns the website.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><em>Issuer<\/em> \u2014 The certificate\u2019s creation organization.
