Overview
After you launch a cPanel & WHM instance on the Alibaba® Cloud, you can manage it with the Alibaba Cloud Console. This document describes common tasks that your cPanel & WHM instance on the Alibaba Cloud may require.

- New instances may require several minutes to initialize.
Log in to the Alibaba Cloud Console
To log in to the Console interface, perform the following steps:

Navigate to the Alibaba Cloud website.

Click Console. The Login interface will appear.

Enter your email address in the Account text box.

Enter your password in the Password text box.
-
Click Sign In.
Manage Alibaba instances
To manage an Alibaba instance, perform the following steps:

From the left navigation bar in the Console interface, click Instances. The Instances interface will appear.

From the Instances interface, select the region in which the instance exists.

Select the instance that you wish to manage.

Select the desired action from the table:

Stop — This action will stop the instance.

The first time you stop an instance, a warning message will appear with details about stopped images.
-
Click OK. You will see a confirmation message.

Select Stop to perform a graceful stop of the instance or select Force Stop to immediately stop the instance.

Click OK.

Restart — This action will restart the instance.
-
Select Restart to perform a graceful restart of the instance or Force Restart to immediately restart the instance.

Click OK.

Reset Password — This action will reset the
rootpassword on the instance.-
Enter a new password.

Confirm the new password.
-
Click OK.
Note:You must restart the instance for the password change to take effect.

Release — This action will delete the instance. Read the How to delete an Alibaba instance section below for more information.

Delete an Alibaba instance
- Alibaba will bill you for all active instances on your account. We strongly recommend that you stop and delete unused instances to avoid unnecessary costs.
- When you delete an instance, the system will delete the instance’s data.
To delete an instance, perform the following steps:

From the left navigation bar in the Console interface, click Instances. The Instances interface will appear.

Select the desired instance.
-
Click Release. A warning message will appear.

Select Release Now.
-
Click Next. A confirmation message will appear.

Click OK.
You must also release any Elastic IP Addresses (EIP) that the deleted instance owned to avoid unnecessary costs.
Release an elastic IP address
To release an elastic IP address (EIP), perform the following steps:

In the left navigation bar, click Elastic IP Addresses.

Select the EIP that the deleted instance owned.
-
Click Release.
